Ideally, in my practice, I would meet with whoever is being discussed. The reason for this is that a relationship is a 7th house (Libra, Venus, marriage, committed relationship) matter and it is a house of equality.

The difference is that you are both present, and it might take a session or two more to complete your therapeutic dialogue.
